LEAGUECAST

Terms and disclaimer

This is a draft, pending legal review. It was written by the people who build leaguecast so you can see where we stand today, in plain language. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and it is not legal advice. We expect to replace it before paid plans open.

Version 2026-08-24-draft. When we change this page we change the version too, and we ask you to accept the new one.

Episodes are written by a machine

Every episode leaguecast makes is generated by AI from your league's statistics. No journalist writes one. That means an episode can be wrong: it can misread a matchup, mangle a name, get a number backwards, or say something that simply did not happen. It is entertainment for your league, not reporting, and it is not a source of fact about anyone. If an episode says something about a person, treat it as a machine's take on a fantasy scoreboard — because that is what it is.

Sometimes a person here reads and hears one first

Most episodes go straight to your league with nobody at leaguecast seeing them. But every episode is put through automated quality checks before it is published, and one that fails a check is held instead of released. Somebody who works on leaguecast then decides what happens to it — and deciding means reading the script and listening to the audio. Separately, the tools we use to run leaguecast can reach an episode's script and audio whether or not it was held, because that is what fixing a broken episode takes.

We read your Sleeper league to make them

To write an episode we read your league's data from Sleeper: the league settings, its managers and team names, its draft, its matchups and its transactions. We read it; we do not change anything in your league. leaguecast is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Sleeper, and Sleeper has no involvement in what an episode says. “Sleeper” is their name, not ours, and we use it only to say where the data comes from. Connecting a league here does not give us any authority over it, and if you stop connecting one we stop reading it.

The show remembers your league between episodes

The show remembers your league between episodes. What an episode predicted, the awards it gave out and the bits it started are kept, along with the note the commissioner writes here, and a later episode can call back to them. They stay with this league and are never shared outside it. There is no expiry: the commissioner can empty the note box at any time, and anything else is removed by us when you ask.

The commissioner can rewrite or empty that note at any time from the league settings page. For anything else — a whole league’s remembered lines, or one episode’s — write to us and we will remove it.

The commissioner picks the tone, and owns it

leaguecast is a tool: the commissioner chooses the tone — including explicit — for their own league, and responsibility for that choice is theirs. Episodes are AI-generated from your league's public stats. Working name; not affiliated with Sleeper.

In other words: the tone setting is a real choice with real consequences for the people in your league, and the person who sets it is the person answering for it. If your league would not want an explicit episode, do not ask for one.

The service is provided as-is

leaguecast is offered as-is and as-available, with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will be up, that an episode will be generated, that a generated episode will be accurate, or that a share link will keep working. We may change it or stop it. Things you can reach with a link — a share page, an audio file — are readable by anyone who has the link, so treat a link as public once you send it.

Paid plans

Paid subscriptions are coming in a later release. Today nothing on this site takes money and there is nothing to pay for. When plans open we will say what they cost and what they include on the page where you choose one, and these terms will get a version that covers them. Until then, no charge of any kind can come from using leaguecast.

Getting in touch

leaguecast is a small, friends-only preview. If something here is wrong, or an episode said something it should not have, tell the person who invited you — they know how to reach us.
